Mitchell, a member of the documentary film crew, stays behind to catalogue Sara's footage. He sees something that deeply disturbs him, but is hidden from the audience, and tries to call Diane but cannot get through. The project is described only as an original story that Galluppi developed and brought to Raimi and team. With the room now open, Fischer activates Barrett's machine a second time, and he and Ann leave the house, hoping that Barrett and Florence will guide Belasco to the afterlife without fear.

A physicist, his wife and two mediums are hired to investigate the Belasco House, where 27 guests had inexplicably died in 1927, along with most of a team of paranormal investigators that wa... When the film revisits the moment of rupture in the basement, we see Joey (the “clown”) rushing by and Melissa (the “damsel”) screaming for help, and then we see a few shadowy apparitions walking towards the camera, which are not part of the show. The hooded leader of the ungodly apparitions slits Melissa’s throat, and she is left screaming and bleeding as the crowd frantically tries to get out of the Hell House. The basement trope is a staple in horror films, but ‘Hell House LLC’ takes the familiar trope to a new height through its effective use of blurry found-footage cinematography. Told in a mockumentary format, the story follows a group of documentary filmmakers as they try to trace their way back to a seemingly inexplicable tragedy that took place in a spook house in 2009 on the eve of Halloween. If you are wondering what’s in the basement (we know that you want to know), we’ll try to break down the ending for you.

This hidden-in-plain-sight theme continues throughout the saga, so searching for ghosts in the background makes for a fun game with repeated viewings. Cognetti’s ambitions for Hell House LLC were high—some might say a little too high, in part due to some questionable VFX employed throughout the films, which don’t do justice to the storyteller’s grand vision. Fortunately, the backstory Cognetti created regarding the Abbadon’s owner, Andrew Tully—a “latter-day Dante” who sought to create a gateway to hell on the hotel’s premises—provided plenty of material for the sequels. Fifteen people, including the first group of attendees and the members of the Hell House company that opened the attraction, died in what authorities decreed as an "unknown malfunction". Each Halloween, youth members of Trinity Church, Texas construct a 'Hell House'; a modern-day fire-and-brimstone sermon, presented in the form of a haunted house, seen by over 10,000 visitor...

Stephen Cognetti’s found footage indie from 2015 has since morphed into a full-on franchise. After a few more rounds of re-cuts, the film was locked just before its first public screening at the Telluride Horror Show in October 2015. The film would also screen at Fear Fete Film Festival the same week, where it won the best paranormal film award. The worldwide distribution rights for Hell House LLC were acquired by Terror Films, with a North American VOD release date of November 1, 2016. It is revealed that what Mitchell saw was a possessed member of Hell House killing Sara; she has been dead the whole time they had been speaking to her, and there were, in fact, no survivors.
The tour takes the audience through the dark and dingy corridors to the basement, but we suddenly see people frantically running up the stairs, and the camera runs along with them. We cannot decipher what goes wrong in the basement, but we hear a shriek that does not seem to be pre-recorded. The rest of the film tries to take the audience back to this moment of rupture from different perspectives and construct the timeline of doom from scratch.

Then, we hear the first-hand account of the Hell House from Sara Havel, a member, as the documentary filmmakers interview her. Sara provides more footage from which the filmmakers can reconstruct the timeline. The viewers get to know from the footage that Sara is the girlfriend of Alex, who is the main organizer and owner of the Hell House. The film is presented in a documentary style, following wealthy entrepreneur Russell Wynn’s endeavor to use the infamous Abaddon Hotel for an immersive theater experience named “Insomnia,” based on the Faust legend. Despite being aware of the location’s dark history and numerous warnings about ongoing supernatural events, Russell remains determined to proceed. The documentary team delves into Russell’s past and the prior incidents, discovering footage suggesting Russell’s involvement or monitoring of the events.

Disturbing text messages from Chase drive the two women to flee into the car, but the cult members surround them. Returning to the manor once again, Margot hears Chase calling for her, leaving Rebecca, who is killed by Catherine’s ghost. Margot finds Chase’s eyeless corpse, before being stalked by the clown, who corners and attacks her. Patrick is identified as the clown and the one who tried to abduct Margot as a child. In a final scene, Patrick apologises to a camera, before yelling at an unseen man to be quiet, departing through a doorway into a red-tinted room, implied to be another gate to Hell as seen in previous films.
Director Stephen Cognetti expressed his wishes to expand the universe, get a higher budget, and move on from the found footage genre, and that makes us hopeful for the future. A group of cold case investigators stay at the Carmichael Manor, site of the grisly and unsolved murders of the Carmichael family back in the eighties. What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes. Initially, the filmmakers were in search of an abandoned house to shoot the film in, as the original script had the events taking place in a house. As early as 2012, the director had been visiting many abandoned buildings and homes, including two in the New York county where the story takes place, Rockland County, New York. After not finding anything suitable, they instead began searching for real haunted house attractions to shoot in.
He’s uncredited as Jonathan, the doomed documentary cameraman who makes the unfortunate mistake of following his colleague into the hotel in the first movie’s conclusion. He’s then demon food in the sequel as Brock’s cameraman Malcolm, who also meets his unfortunate end within the walls of the Abaddon. Hell House LLC producer Joe Bandelli gets acting credits across the series due to his portrayal of the possessed clown mannequin. Wheresthejump.com ranks crew member Paul’s (Gore Abrams) final encounter with an unwelcome bedroom visitor as the original movie’s most frightening scene.
The film opens with Wendy Mallet recounting the tragic disappearance of her son, Jackson, who entered the abandoned Abaddon Hotel over a year ago and never returned. A distressing video shows Jackson desperately running through the hotel, experiencing a mental breakdown, and being approached by a cult follower. Learning artifacts from the hotel are being exhibited at a local antique store, Margot and Rebecca investigate. Rebecca recognizes a grandfather clock from the hotel, finding film reels, letters, and a cross pendant in a hidden compartment. Chase is frightened by the clowns and a masked woman, convincing Margot and Rebecca that the manor is actually haunted. Eight years after the opening night tragedy of HELL HOUSE LLC, many unanswered questions remain.
